BunkerEx is a go-to tech partner in the shipping industry. But while their backend data was tight, the customer experience wasn’t. Clients had no easy way to check order progress, and updates were manual, messy, and time-consuming - wasting hours every week and leaving their team swamped.

The Process
We saw a clear opportunity: streamline the client experience while saving the BunkerEx team serious time.
The first step? Understand the users - most of whom aren’t tech pros. That meant creating a frictionless, intuitive mobile app that speaks their language. We moved fast with low-fidelity wireframes, testing ideas early with BunkerEx and real users. Then we refined the UX in Figma and handed it off to Bubble for build.
The final product is a native mobile app on both iOS and Android. It’s simple, clean, and highly functional. We used Zapier and Bubble’s API Connector to sync securely with BunkerEx’s private database, automatically updating clients with real-time order status - no manual steps, no missed updates.
Clients can filter and download custom CSVs without calling support. Admins have a dashboard to tweak anything in minutes. And we added downloadable PDFs, dynamically generated with custom code, pulling clean data from their private API and presenting it beautifully.
The Result
With real-time updates now automated, BunkerEx saves over 10 hours a week - freeing the team to focus on growth and service, not spreadsheets. Clients enjoy a faster, cleaner, more professional experience. And what used to be manual, messy work? It’s now seamlessly.
