The Opportunity
Stratverse's initial pilot program was a success, but it relied heavily on manual processes. To capitalise on their gained traction, they needed a scalable online platform. Goodspeed was brought in to design and develop a web-based solution that would streamline consultant profile creation, project posting for firms, and automate consultant-project matching.
Design Process
For Stratverse, the design priority was to create a user-friendly and intuitive platform that catered seamlessly to both consultants and companies. Our research took into account cultural nuances specific to the Middle Eastern market.
Serving Consultants & Companies
Stratverse serves a prestigious clientele, including industry giants like BCG, McKinsey, and Bain. We needed to establish a clean and professional brand image that resonated with these corporate clients while also appealing to freelance consultants, considering the disruptive nature of the platform.
Low Fidelity to High Fidelity Designs
We employed our established design process to bring Stratverse's vision to life. The initial phase involved meticulously outlining user roles, user stories, and user journeys. Following this, we created low-fidelity wireframes, then progressed to high-fidelity designs using Bubble, and finally achieved pixel-perfect designs within the same platform.
Development
The platform was built on Bubble, enabling Stratverse to scale efficiently with features like automated onboarding, matchmaking, and invoicing.
Dual Purpose Landing Page
While the web application was under development, a temporary marketing site was created using Framer to facilitate launch and user sign-ups. This landing page provided separate channels for consultants and companies, highlighting the specific benefits for each user group. The site was optimized for search engines and responsive design to ensure optimal user experience across all devices.
Seamless Onboarding
A streamlined onboarding process was developed to expedite user sign-ups. Consultants could leverage features like profile tagging to showcase their sectoral and functional expertise. An interactive matrix estimated daily rates based on specified categories, and a calendar allowed consultants to indicate their availability.
Automated Matchmaking With SmartAlgorithm
Previously, manual matchmaking was a time-consuming task. To address this, we implemented a project-tagging system within the project posting section to enable automated profile-project matching. The platform also provides algorithm-driven recommendations of consultant profiles based on posted projects. To streamline communication for admins, email and WhatsApp integrations were incorporated for sending project interest notifications.
Enabling Admins To Effectively Manage The Platform
With any early stage marketplace, it's important for the admins to still have a role. We created a comprehensive dashboard for admins to manage profiles and projects. It included visibility into profile statuses and project stages and matchmaking oversight with options to share profiles or send interest notifications. Along side a real-time revenue and cost tracking dashboard for key business metrics.
Automated Contracting
Manual contracting and invoicing were previously identified as bottlenecks. To address this, we automated contract generation based on project details and agreed-upon rates.
Automated Invoicing
The platform features an invoicing system that allows consultants to log their workdays and automatically calculate their monthly income. Furthermore, the system auto-generates two invoices: one for the consultant's payment and another for the consulting firm, inclusive of the platform's commission. For added convenience, a "one-click" feature simplifies contract extension processes.
