Agent Check privacy policy

Effective date: 16 October 2026

Agent Check is a Chrome extension made by Goodspeed Studio (“Goodspeed”, “we”). It checks how well AI agents and AI search tools can read and use the web page you are on. This policy explains what the extension does with data. It sits alongside our main privacy policy, which covers goodspeed.studio.

The short version: Agent Check runs in your browser, it only looks at a page when you ask, and nothing about the pages you check is sent to us or anyone else.

1. What happens when you check a page

When you click Scan, turn on X-ray or record a journey, Agent Check reads the page in that tab inside your browser. To complete the check it also requests the page itself, /robots.txt, /llms.txt and /llms-full.txt from the same website you are on. These requests go only to that website. They are not sent to Goodspeed.

Agent Check does nothing on a page until you ask. By default it can only access a tab after you click its toolbar icon or press its shortcut on that tab. If you choose “Allow on all sites”, it can check any tab without that extra click, but it still only checks a page when you ask.

2. What is stored, and where

Everything below is stored only in your browser, in Chrome extension storage. We cannot see it.

  • Settings, such as whether X-ray opens after each scan.

  • Your last 20 reports: scores, the list of fixes, short descriptions of the elements involved (for example: button “Book a demo”), and a short summary of how an AI would read the page (your company name, a summary sentence and up to three short quotes from the page).

  • A journey recording while it is in progress. When you stop, it becomes a report.

Journey recordings never store anything you type into a form. For a form field we keep only its label and type, such as “Work email (email)”. Web addresses are stored without query strings by default, and you can turn on “Mask all text” to replace button and link names with a role and number.

X-ray images, PDF reports and Markdown reports are created in your browser and only go where you copy, save or send them. You can delete saved reports at any time in Settings. Uninstalling the extension removes everything it stored.

3. Optional: emailing you the report

If you choose “Email me the report” and tick the consent box, we send the following to our HubSpot account: your email address, the page score and score band, the website domain (for example https://example.com) unless you untick it, and that the request came from Agent Check. We do not send the full page address, the page content or the list of fixes.

We use this to email you the report and to follow up about it. If you also tick the marketing box, we may send occasional emails about building websites for people and agents. You can unsubscribe at any time.

4. Optional: anonymous usage stats

Usage stats are off unless you turn them on. If you do, Agent Check sends counts of events, such as “a scan finished” with the score band and how long it took, to Google Analytics, with a random ID created when you install the extension. It never sends web addresses, page content or your email address. You can turn this off at any time in Settings.

5. What we never do

  • We do not sell or rent any data.

  • We do not use data from the extension for advertising, for creditworthiness or lending decisions, or for anything unrelated to checking pages for AI readiness.

  • We do not load remote code into the extension.

The use of information received from Agent Check adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

6. Keeping and deleting data

Data stored in your browser stays there until you delete it or uninstall the extension. If you sent us your email address, we keep it in HubSpot until you ask us to delete it or you unsubscribe. To have it deleted or to get a copy, email us at the address below.
