Disclosure: I run Goodspeed and DesignMe goes after the same clients we do, so treat this as a competitor writing about a competitor. The DesignMe facts are from their site and Clutch, linked at the bottom.

Of the agencies we get compared with, DesignMe is the closest. Same buyer, a funded tech company that has outgrown its site, and both of us build in Framer. Where we differ is the commercial model.

Best for

Funded startups with a raise, launch or press moment coming

Funded SaaS, AI and fintech teams that want an ongoing monthly design and development team

Retainer or fixed price

DesignMe's pricing page starts with retainers. Design or development is $6,000 a month, both together is $10,000, and a growth add-on is $3,000 or more on top. If you'd rather buy a project, those start at $15,000.

We do it the other way round. You get a fixed price for the site before anything starts: a Signature Site is from $10,000 and usually lands between $10,000 and $40,000, and a Landing Page is $2,500. If you want us to stay on after launch, the Embedded Team is $2,000 a month and you can stop whenever you like. Every number is on our pricing page.

What they build in

DesignMe will build in Framer, Webflow, Astro, Next.js or React. We build marketing sites in Framer only. The reason is handover: your team gets a CMS and a component library they can edit themselves, so a new page doesn't wait on us.

How wide the work goes

DesignMe also does product design, brand identity, pitch decks, motion, CRO and SEO. We're narrower. Marketing sites, launch pages and migrations are the bulk of it, and we build AI products and automations alongside.

Clients

DesignMe lists Lightdash, Seamless.AI and N3XT. On our side: Wisk, the Boeing-backed air taxi company, live in two months and later nominated for a Webby; Sydecar, rebuilt after its Series A into a 50+ page system; and Reka, where we're the in-house design and development team in all but payroll.

DesignMe is the better fit if

  • You want one monthly team handling product design, brand, decks and the site.

  • Your site needs to be on Webflow, Astro or Next.js.

Goodspeed is the better fit if

  • There's a date: a raise, a launch or press coverage, and the site has to be ready for it.

  • You want to know the full price before you sign.

  • After launch you want help on tap without a big monthly commitment. The Embedded Team starts at $2,000.

Your site has to be ready before your next raise, launch or press moment
