Introduction
RecruitU is a venture-backed marketplace solving a messy, high-stakes problem: how students land competitive jobs. Their platform connects top students - from places like Harvard and Stanford - with elite employers like Glencore, Blackstone and McKinsey. But their website only told half the story. The student journey was front and centre, while the B2B offer - essential to growth - was buried, hard to navigate, and lacked the credibility needed to win over enterprise buyers. They didn’t just need a redesign. They needed help making sense of what to say, how to say it, and how to build trust with two very different audiences - fast. There was no sitemap, no content plan, and no product visuals to work from. Just a big ambition and a team moving at speed.

The Process

The Process
We kicked off with a discovery sprint to bring clarity to the chaos. Two collaborative workshops helped define audiences, uncover needs, and map out a structure that balanced the marketplace. From there, we created low-fidelity wireframes and a full content framework to shape every page. We worked with RecruitU’s team to define benefits, identify content gaps, and focus the messaging - especially for their B2B clients, where clarity and polish matter most. With structure locked in, we moved into UI design in Figma. RecruitU didn’t have product screenshots available — so we built them ourselves. We studied the product, recreated screens, and designed over 20 polished mockups to visually explain the student and employer experience. Where needed, we simplified, abstracted, and stylised the UI to keep things elegant and evergreen. We built the site in Framer - seven responsive pages including homepage, student and employer flows, company and legal pages, CMS blocks, a blog, a custom form, and animation work. We added scroll effects, iconography, and a lightweight hero animation to show the product flow without needing live video. Throughout, we worked as an extension of their team: coaching, adapting, suggesting better solutions. When they needed content - we helped shape it. When they needed design - we made it happen. All while keeping pace with their tight timeline.

In just six weeks, RecruitU launched a fully redesigned, fully editable, and fully scalable site. Internally, it’s unlocked autonomy - the team can update content in seconds without developer support. Externally, it’s opening new B2B conversations and building credibility with enterprise clients. Now the business is scaling.
